GENERAL DATA
Application area - field oil gathering, processing and transportation at oil extracting companies.
Automation system SA-PN.M intended for automation of furnaces, direct heating units, water and steam boilers, etc.
The system is aimed at replacement of currently used automation systems with double-position control SA-PNG, SA-GVK, security automatics AB-1G, AB-2G and similar units (Argus-1, Argus-2, Argus-3, KSU-EVM, BKU-M, BRUS, etc.)
The Power and Control Cabinet (ShUS) is the main block of SA-PNG.M and it is typically not changed or is changed a little depending on order.
The Cabinet is produced with heat-insulation, with built-in heating and IP54 case protection level and can be installed:
- indoors (heated or not heated);
- in block-box (on wall or on socle-holder)
- outdoors;
- on a stand.
Default automation system design includes DirectLogic DL205 controller and OVEN IP-320 information panel.
Any controller and information panel installation is available on customer’s demand; the company has installation experience of Siemens, Allen-Bradley controllers and Wientek information panel.
SA-PNG.M systemfeatures
- control of up to 16 parameters with alarming, operational mode change or emergency stop of controlled unit. Any contact sensors or electronic key sensors can be used;
- control and measuring of up to 8 parameters using sensors (measuring transducers) with universal current output 4-20 mA, connected with controller galvanically;
- simultaneous divided control from 2 up to 12 single-phase additional devices. Control of 4 three-phase and 12 single-phase devices is provided;
- relay control for maintaining of defined (measured) parameter on the required level (by principle “Heavy burning” – “Weak burning” or alike);
- control, alarm and emergency stop upon activity of the defined digital sensors or measured parameters exceeding of the allowed extremes;
- standard set of blocks – flame control, level of intermediate heat carrier control, product temperature, pressure inside steam boiler, oil pressure in line heater, fuel parameters by temperature and pressure, temperature of intermediate heat carrier, combustion parameters, fume gas temperature;
- typical start program:
1) ignition of burners,
2) heating of furnace (heater, boiler) in a weak combustion mode,
3) starting an established operational mode. Automatic blow-down of furnace before ignition can be added;
- access to upper level via Modbus RTU, DirectNet protocols using RS -232/485 interface.
- emergency stop with remembering of initial cause.

SA-PNG.M SYSTEM PURPOSE:
1) fully automatic startup by upper level signal or by pushing “START” button on ShUS door;
2) automatic shutdown by upper level signal or by pushing “STOP” button with valve leak test test safety shutdown in actuation of protective interlocks described further;
3) automatic output oil temperature maintenance by relay heat capacity regulation (by principle “Heavy burning” – “Weak burning”);
4) continuous operability control of analog transducers and flame sensor;
5) startup program abortion and line heater safety shutdown with discrete light and sound indication as well as provision of corresponding message on control block display in following cases:
- intermediate heat carrier level subtolerance;
- heated medium (oil) input pressure overtolerance;
- heated medium (oil) input pressure subtolerance;
- fuel (gas) input pressure overtolerance;
- fuel (gas) input pressure subtolerance;
- flame absence;
- fume gas temperature overtolerance.
6) operation interlock and safety shutdown with continuous light and sound indication as well as provision of corresponding message on control block display in following cases:
- intermediate heat carrier level subtolerance;
- heated medium (oil) pressure overtolerance;
- heated medium (oil) pressure subtolerance;
- fuel (gas) pressure overtolerance;
- fuel (gas) pressure subtolerance;
- flame absence;
- heated medium (oil) output pressure overtolerance;
- combustion product temperature (fume gases) overtolerance;
- draft absence;
- intermediate heat carrier temperature subtolerance;
- intermediate heat carrier temperature overtolerance;
- subtolerance of oil pressure differential across a diaphragm.
7) provision of discrete light and sound indication – emergency approach warning – without safety shutdown during operation and provision of corresponding message on control block display in following cases:
- low draft;
- intermediate heat carrier temperature overtolerance;
- intermediate heat carrier temperature subtolerance;
- subtolerance of oil pressure differential across a diaphragm.
8) measurement and printing on display of following parameters:
- intermediate heat carrier temperature;
- furnace draft;
- heated medium pressure differential across a diaphragm.
9) overload and short circuit equipment protection;
10) sound emergency alarm deactivation by pushing “STOP” button or by upper level signal;
11) two-parameter (warning and emergency) protection point setting via program modification or upper level;
12) time and date referenced storing of operating and emergency messages, data transfer to upper level;
13) blackout shutdown, post-blackout temporary operability maintenance of control block, safety of input controller data and program after long blackout periods;
14) unauthorized access inside fuel treating cabinet.
